The Nightmare Come True

We did it!  We really did it!

We sold our home in the Dallas area and bought another in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas!  We have completed our Texas time and are beginning a new life – one of more ease, greater relaxation and for me launching into my business of Divine Awakening even more fully. Here’s a picture of the view from our deck.f7b31af4-a09f-468b-970b-95a4da007657

It sounds like a dream come true, doesn’t it? Yes, it is. So, why, you might be asking is the title of this article The Nightmare Come True?

For us, this particular move was one of the hardest we’ve ever made. The challenges and struggle revolved around the buyer of our Dallas home. We went under contract with him on May 7, and finally closed with literally 2 minutes to spare on July 22. Why oh why did this simple, easy, buying-as-is process take so long?

Every step of the way was a battle, some of which were excruciating. As it turns out this man is a narcissist and a bully. He gets his kicks from causing emotional stress. Yes, that is my opinion, but more than once he actually told us stories of things he was doing to other sellers and buyers if he didn’t get his way. He is a doctor, an anesthesiologist, he wants what he wants, and he gets giddy when he’s controlling people and situations.

During the course of this process, that he stalled out for no apparent reason other than he could, it cost us thousands. We’ll skip the details and move to the point.

Sometimes in life we meet up with people who are simply not nice, who are full of themselves and bullies. We have one running in an important political race right now. These people are not normal. They do not think or operate the way most of us do with kindness, compassion and empathy for how their actions affect other people. They do not have the greater good in the forefront of their minds.

How do we deal with this? For me, I stood very clear in my desired outcome, bent around like a willow tree trying to avoid conflict; stood in my power with a solid No. Gave more than I thought was necessary, simply to get what I ultimately wanted – a closing of the house.

Even on the last day, and up to the last minutes, there were stressors, and obstacles that should have never been there. He was working some manipulation that we couldn’t not figure out. The last day, he sent his closing papers in without being notarized and then made the mobile notary wait for him 4 ½ hours before signing.

We have to stop bullying. It is rampant in our schools with kids, it is rampant in our political system and it is found throughout society in any number of ways.

My point in this blog is this – sometimes life hands us difficult moments, circumstances or people. How do you stand in the challenge? How can you navigate the storms with the most ease?

If you happen to be in the midst of a nightmare coming true, or a challenging situation or circumstance remember this – You Will Get Through It!

Here are a few reminders to light your path.

  1. Be very clear about what you want, your end goal. Set it as an intention and a preference, like the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
  2. Be firm in your conviction, do not let appearances sway your dream. Wallace Wattles says, “to think what you want to think is to think Truth regardless of appearances”
  3. Become like the willow tree, bending in the storm, but not breaking.
  4. Walk away from battles that you know you won’t win, unless your Spirit is saying stand true.
  5. Stand true to your heart, to the wisdom of that which is greater than you.
  6. Know that this too will pass.
  7. Take the next breath and the next step.
  8. Remember to take care of you! If and when you succumb to stress, like I did many times, take care of you. Rest, relax, vent and return to truth.

This was one of the most challenging experiences I have walked through in a concentrated manner. I learned so much about how other people operate in the world and I discovered in part why the world is the way it is. I enhanced my commitment to see every person in the light and hold them in love. Love is the only answer; love is the only way. It might not be immediate, but it is what will change our world!

I still believe in good and the good in every person. I still believe in Light and that we are here to be the Light, no matter what darkness might show up. If you are being challenged right now, I can help. It’s what I do.

One Response to The Nightmare Come True

  1. Mary Lou Flores says:

My dear friend, I am truly sorry you had to go through all you did. I wonder often why some people on this earth take such pleasure in bullying others. They come in all sizes and ages. I admire your strength and determination and tenacity to stay true to yourself and know you are a beacon of light to so many.
