Love is the essence and foundation of our universe. Love is the very fabric of creation. Love is an energy that permeates, penetrates and fills the interspaces of our being and the entire universe. Love is the true reality and the opposite of fear.
The world is confused about love, primarily because we have romanticized it and make it personal.
As we continue in our awakening process we begin to realize that there are (at least) two worlds we live in. The world of our personality and ego, that is based on the illusion of separation and fear and the world of Spirit, Truth and Love.
I came across this quote and loved it:
“The way to love someone is to lightly run your finger over that person’s soul until you find a crack – and then gently pour your love into that crack.” ~Keith Miller
When we can relax and drop the stuff that keeps us stuck, if even for a few moments, we land in a field of love. This field also contains the deep peace we long for and a joy that is delightful to our souls. For some, this is the reason they meditate, to get out of their heads for a time and bask in love. Love cures all things, softens the rigid edges, loosens what is tight and frees the restricted. Love is a magic balm for any dis-ease.
As we move into the Thanksgiving holiday week, commit to a practice of non-resistance and love. Non-resistance simply means you don’t react.
Instead try this as a practice:
Every time you feel irritated, frustrated or resistance, fill the space between you and the other with love. Imagine all of the space between you being filled with the quality and vibration of love and spaciousness.
It will work magic, I promise!
